Celebrate the legacy of American Graffiti in Modesto from June 6-28! Directed by George Lucas, American Graffiti was released in 1973 with a great nostalgic look back at cars, music and teenage years, portraying an age of innocence in 1962.
The memories live on, and Modesto continues to relive its golden day glory as the classic car and cruisin’ capital of the California Central Valley! Below is a summary of all events all month long!

June 4: American Graffiti movie
Ready for root beer floats and dancing in the aisles to one of the best film soundtracks in history? Don your best duds from the late 50's and early 60's, or dress as your favorite character from American Graffiti, George Lucas' consummate coming-of-age film, and join in the fun! Showtime 4pm. June 5 11th Annual Graffiti Classic Car Show
Modesto Area Street Rod Association's 11th annual classic car show at the McHenry Village Shopping Center, 9am-3pm. Raffles all day long. Live music by the Hot Rods Band, good rockin' oldies. Free admission to spectators. Car entry fee $25, day of show $30, which includes lunch for two. Sponsor awards and more! A portion of the proceeds benefit local charities. June 9 MoBand Concert in the Park "Cruise Control"

June 10 Official Kiwanis Classic Car Parade
The annual Classic Car Parade route has expanded! The route will remain through cool Downtown Modesto but this year it is expanding to go down McHenry Ave. to Orangeburg & back to downtown. The parade will feature close to a thousand classic cars, hot rods & street rods. NEW TIME! Starting at 6:30pm in Downtown Modesto. You do not want to miss this amazing event! June 10 Elvis Tribute Extravaganza
After the classic car parade, join your fellow cruisers and celebrate in 10th Street Plaza for the Modesto Elvis Tribute Extravaganza presented by Third Party and Ron and Doug Excellent Promotions. This is a free event, so bring all your friends, your poodle skirts, and enjoy the sock hop. 9:00pm-11pm at 10th Street Plaza
June 11 Kingsmen, Surfaris & Token
This concert features one of great party bands of all time, The Kingsmen (the immortal "Louie, Louie") with original members Dick Peterson and Mike Mitchell. The Surfaris ("Wipe Out," "Surfer Joe") with original guitarist Bob Berryhill, plus The Tokens (the enduring classic, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight") , also featuring original members, brothers Mitch and Phil Margo. June 11-12 American Graffiti Car Show & Festival
This 18th Annual event is presented by the North Modesto Kiwanis.

June 17th kick off of our Annual Back to Graffiti weekend with Mesquite BBQ and live music from the band Threshold as the classic cars start to arrive. Live music at 8pm. Free to the public. June 18th is the Graffiti Classic car show. Free to spectators. Featuring raffle prizes, music, vendors and more! Mesquite BBQ will be available throughout the day. June 26 The 9th Annual Rod & Custom Car Show
Classic cars and custom hot rods! Live music. Food and beverages available for purchase. Proceeds to benefit Modesto Elks. Free admission. Car show starts at 9:00am.
